Hello, I’m Jess! However, in the cosplay community I am known as Ghostiee Muffinn Cosplay. I have been creating costumes and attending conventions for 6 years now. In the past 2 years, I have begun to guest at conventions as well. This was an exciting step to me, as I feel it testifies to a goal I’ve had my entire life— growth. Being able to take this hobby further and further has been an exciting journey, and I cannot wait to see where it takes me. My first con was KATSUCON in 2015, and I have been attending east coast cons ever since. I love cosplay for ample reasons, but I narrow it down to creativity and community. Cosplay pushes me to my artistic limits as every new costume requires a different skill set. I enjoy using new materials to turn scraps of foam and cloth into a character that I adore! Additionally, through the cosplay community I have made life-long bonds. People that I am certain will never leave my life, have walked into it through cosplay! I’ve made so many friends, and met so many creative and kind souls! I recommend cosplay to anyone, and everyone, as cosplay is for everyone and anyone! It is a wonderful way to experience your fan domain in a completely new way, as well as meet new people, and have a great time!
